On 18 January, CESVI celebrates its 41st anniversary. After an intense year of celebrations for our 40th anniversary, today we blow out another candle: another milestone in a long journey of concrete solidarity and constant presence wherever there is need.
‘Doing good well’ is the motto that has guided our work since the beginning. It means providing help with preparation, seriousness and passion, maintaining an innovative spirit and always looking to the future.
Throughout our history, we have faced seemingly impossible challenges without ever giving up. From projects against hunger in North Korea to the fight against AIDS in Zimbabwe, to the most recent emergencies in Ukraine, Gaza and Sudan. Not to mention the climate disasters in the Horn of Africa and Pakistan, among many others, and our growing commitment in our own country, where we work to combat poverty and protect children.
The world today presents us with enormous human and environmental crises. But today, as 41 years ago, CESVI is there.
We are ready to face new challenges to protect the most vulnerable and provide communities with the tools they need to build a future of dignity and independence.
Our thanks go to those who support us, to our humanitarian workers for their extraordinary professionalism and to our beneficiaries, the real driving force behind our commitment.
Where there is need, CESVI is there. Generating hope, opportunity and a future.
